Barymat® barriers are always custom designed to provide a high degree of transmission loss while meeting the cost and other targets of each application. Starting with the base powders and other components, Blachford formulates and compounds Barymat® from a vast list of compounds made from PVC or EVA polymers. Blachford selects the correct specific gravity, mass and thickness for each application. We feature low smoke and fire resistant products which meet NFPA Class A, UL 94 V0, Docket 90 and other very stringent standards. We also offer barriers which are resistant to high heat and chemicals, or need to provide high tear strength, abrasion resistance or thermal qualities. Barymat® is produced in wide sheets, long rolls, die cut or water jet cut to customer specifications. For decoupled barriers, Barymat® can be designed with open cell foam, fiberglass, polyester fiber and closed cell foam at various thicknesses.
