Research & Development is the cornerstone of Blachford’s continuing development of advanced products for our industry partners. A minimum of 4% of net profits is invested in R&D each year. Individual team members are highly qualified Ph.D., M.Sc. and B.Sc. graduates in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with areas of specialty in Tribology and Tribo-chemistry. State-of-the-art analytical tools are combined with industry-specific wet chemical 'know-how' to improve customer product quality and efficiency.
In 2010, Acoustic R&D was relocated to our West Chicago site. The R&D for all Chemistry divisions is being combined in Mississauga. In addition to the current laboratory, we will occupy space at the Sheraton Park Research Centre.
